One of the more popular customizations on our Stronghold Iron fence and gates is to go with a different cast iron finial tip instead of the standard quad flare style finial. The installed photos can be tough to make out details on, so I wanted to do a post giving a better up close look at the custom cast iron finial tip options.
The photo above shows the standard quad flare finial tip on one of our Classic style Traditional grade fence panels. This style of welded on iron tip is what we keep stocked in our warehouses. Our stocked materials have a roughly 2 week lead time from order to arrival.
Custom Finial Tip Options
For those wanting a different look on top of their iron fence pickets, we have several custom finial options. With any custom job, there will be a longer 10-12 week lead time depending on the amount of custom work we have at that time. Even though changing the iron fence’s finial tip is a small change, it still makes it a custom job since we have to weld the cast iron finial tip on and run it through cleaning and finishing at the time of production.

Triad Style Cast Iron Finial
This style has more of a point to it than our standard quad flare cast iron finials. It is available for both our 1/2″ Traditional grade iron fence pickets and our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets.
Fleur De Lis #1 Cast Iron Finial
A very popular style of cast iron finial. This is one of two fleur de lis styles we carry. It is available for both our 1/2″ Traditional grade iron fence pickets and our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets.
Fleur De Lis #2 Cast Iron Finial
A very popular style of cast iron finial used on many custom projects. This is one of two fleur de lis styles we carry. It is available for both our 1/2″ Traditional grade iron fence pickets and our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets.
Texas Star Style Cast Iron Finial
This style has more detail and points than our standard quad flare cast iron finials. It is available for both our 1/2″ Traditional grade iron fence pickets and our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets.
Imperial Style Cast Iron Finial
This is a very popular large finial and is featured on the gate at the top of this post. It is only available for our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets.
Arrow Style Cast Iron Finial
This style has more of a point and dramatic swoop to it than our standard quad flare cast iron finials. It is available for both our 1/2″ Traditional grade iron fence pickets and our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets.
Acorn Style Cast Iron Finial
This is a very large finial compared to the other options. It is available for both our 1/2″ Traditional grade iron fence pickets and our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets, but we highly recommend using it on the larger 3/4″ picket due to its size.
Federal Style Cast Iron Finial
This large finial features a squared tip on it. It is only available for our 3/4″ Signature grade iron fence pickets.
